A Word From Our Pastor…
Here are a few things to warm your soul heading into the weekend.
1. I have three numbers for you – 80, 785, 1,000! Those three numbers sum up our trunk or treat event last night. There were approximately 1,000+ people that attended this wonderful community event on our campus. That’s 1,000 people participating in a fun, safe, and kid-friendly event put on by our wonderful staff and church volunteers. Way to go, Team Nikki and Lauren! 785 is how many meals we served. Thanks to our generous church family who provided the financial and volunteer resources to give away these meals. Way to go, Team Wayne and Methodist Men! 80 is the number of families that have requested more information about Clinton Methodist Church. Wow! How amazing is it to have so many families that are interested in knowing more about us. We will begin to do what we can to reach out to these families and possibly help them be where God wants them to be. Way to go, everyone, for supporting this event, from our church staff, the trunk sponsors, security team, registration table volunteers, to the youth running the games!
2. This Sunday is All-Saints Sunday. Our services this weekend will celebrate and remember those special people in our lives who have died this past year and entered God’s fullest presence. We will read names, ring bells, share in Holy Communion, and look to God’s Word to fill us with hope as we honor those saints among us who have shown us the way to live faithfully as servants of Christ. Please join us in worship this week to be inspired by the promises of Revelation 21 and a vision of “All Things New.”
See you Sunday!
Jimmy
