Here are three things to get you rolling into the weekend.
1. There will be ONE awesome service on Palm Sunday! I love it when our congregation comes together for one service of worship. Tommy has his choir in tip-top-shape and ready to lead us in worship with special guest musicians for our Easter musical on Sunday, March 29th. This service will be in the sanctuary at 11:00 a.m. Sunday school will meet at the usual time at 10:00 a.m. Invite your family and neighbors to join you, and let’s move into Holy Week with our focus clearly on Christ’s passion and resurrection.
- 2. Worship One; Serve One! Easter is when we proclaim the hope at the heart of our faith—that Jesus is alive, and it is one of the most important opportunities we have to welcome our community.
- This year we’re inviting every member of our church family to Worship One; Serve One! Attend one worship service with your family and serve at another service to help us extend a warm Clinton Methodist welcome to every person who walks through our doors. There are many ways you can help:
- Greeters at every entrance, lobby space, and both worship areas
- Hospitality team members to prepare and serve refreshments
- Saturday setup team to help decorate and prepare the church for Easter morning
Easter brings many first-time guests and returning families, and a friendly face can make all the difference. By serving, together we help ensure that everyone who comes through our doors feels welcome, comfortable, and at home.
There’s a place for everyone to serve—and we need you! If you are interested in helping, please email Lauren Beckmann lauren@cmc-clinton.org or sign up by using your connections card this Sunday in the bulletin.
3. “How Can I Give You Up?” We continue with our Lenten series on the minor prophets this week with a look at Hosea. What an amazing story! Hosea was given a most unusual assignment by the Lord to demonstrate his powerful and passionate love for us. Give it a read this week. Let it stir your heart with the relentless love of God that pursues us even into the depths of our waywardness and unfaithfulness to restore to us beauty and identity as the Beloved.
See you Sunday!
Jimmy
