A Word From Our Pastor…
Hello CMC family! I have two things for you today.
1. Nicaragua was an amazing group experience. Our mission team of 15 members all returned home Friday night from 8 days of ministry in Nicaragua. We participated in construction projects at three churches and remodeled bathrooms, updated electrical, painted the inside of a sanctuary, and poured a concrete sidewalk by hand! We also held three one-day Bible schools for kids, serving nearly 600 people! Before returning home, we spent a few hours zip-lining through the forest canopy and swimming in a volcanic lake. Our team grew in our relationships with one another and made lasting friendships with Nicaraguans. Thanks for your support through the yard sale for missions, donations and prayers. This was a congregational effort! Seeds of the gospel were planted, and our prayer is for these churches and pastors to be strengthened in ministry through our support.
2. Back to School Bash is Sunday! School is underway for our CPS students, and that means it’s time to officially end summer with a big celebration. This Sunday, we will gather at 10:30 a.m. in the Family Life Building for our 2nd Annual Bash. We will start the morning with worship and prayer, seeking God’s blessing upon our students, teachers, and faculty for another year of academic and spiritual growth. Following worship, there will be a time of fellowship around some great fried chicken and jazz music. Kids and youth, bring your swimsuits and a towel for water activities in the gym parking lot. It’s going to be awesome!
I hope to see you on Sunday!
Jimmy
