A WORD FROM OUR PASTOR…
As I sit at my desk this morning, I am so thankful for the blessing of this new day. This is a day the Lord has made. I will rejoice and be glad in it! Here are three things that are on my mind as we approach the weekend.
1. Find His Presence! I am listening to a new live worship album by Gateway Worship. It is called “Crowns Down (Live).” Watch this video. Wow! I can’t recommend it enough to fuel your worship and help you connect with the presence of the Lord. In his presence, there is fullness of joy, peace, and healing, and life! Find Him today and find his blessing!
2. Dig In: Find Your Place; Grow Deep. Looking to feel more connected to our church and God’s people here? Or maybe you’re just ready for a fresh start in your faith?
Whether you’ve been here a while or you’re brand new, Dig In is your next step. It’s a relaxed, three-week experience where we’ll talk about how to grow deeper in your relationship with Jesus—and find your unique place in our church family.
I want to invite you to come hang out with me on Wednesday nights starting August 13 at 6:00 p.m. in the Worship Center. You’ll learn about our culture of discipleship at CMC and what it looks like to connect in authentic community, abide deeply in Christ, and multiply the love of Jesus in everyday life.
Here’s what we’ll cover:
August 13 – Connect to Jesus + His People
August 20 – Abide Deep in Jesus
August 27 – Multiply the Love of Jesus

3. The Rooted Experience is coming this fall! Rooted is a 10-week small group experience designed to connect you to God, the church, and your purpose. Together, in a group of 10-15 people, you’ll explore the Bible, engage in prayer and serve experiences, share stories, and practice rhythms essential to a healthy spiritual life. It is not a Bible study program, but rather the rooted experience is a gateway into a life of transformative discipleship through small groups. There are more than 2,000 churches that are currently a part of the rooted network. It is a proven catalyst for deepening spiritual growth and changing the discipleship culture of the local church.
I am excited to pilot a rooted small group on Wednesday nights starting in September. This pilot group will be limited to 30 participants and looks to target church leaders, those interested in facilitating future small groups, and current small group leaders. The goal will be to launch multiple new groups starting in January 2026. If you are interested in being a part of the pilot group, email jimmy@cmc-clinton.org.
