A WORD FROM OUR PASTOR…
Here are three things for you leading into the weekend.
1. “Prayer and Praise pull us into the presence of God.” I shared that idea in a sermon a few weeks ago, and I have been leaning more and more into it these past weeks. If you are longing to hear a fresh word from Jesus, I encourage you to find a place of solitude and silence. Pour out your heart in prayer and praise. Your soul will thank you. If you need a place of retreat, our prayer room located off the narthex of the sanctuary is waiting for you. Just visit the office between 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday-Friday, and we will be glad to help you find it.
2. We are digging into the good stuff! The Dig In series is off to a great start! There are lots of folks who are new to CMC attending along with some of our seasoned members. The conversations have been wonderful. We finish it up next Wednesday night by exploring the third element of our discipleship culture – MULTIPLY. The series will repeat later this winter on Sundays. I hope you will consider digging in!
3. A Day in the Life Series. This week we will be looking at the story of Daniel as we talk about “The Day Integrity Was Tested.” Daniel’s faith wasn’t tested on a big stage first — it was forged in daily habits. When the lions came, he was ready. Will we be?
