Sunday, April 26th, is Compassion Sunday, and it is a very important day in the life of the Big-C Church. It is a day where churches all across the country will be coming together to talk about the mission of Compassion International and joining with Compassion’s mission by sponsoring children.
Compassion International is an organization that partners with the local church in countries around the world and helps these churches provide local children and families with food, clean drinking water, medical care, education, and most importantly–access to the Gospel. Compassion’s purpose is to “release children from poverty in Jesus’ name,” and partnering with the church is at the heart of everything that they do. I strongly encourage you to look at some of these resources to see what Compassion does and start prayerfully considering how you can join in this mission on April 26th. On Compassion Sunday, we will be highlighting Compassion’s ministry and sharing some ways that you can personally be involved! Can’t wait to see you then!
