VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL BEGINS NEXT WEEK!
Next week, our church will be filled with children, families, volunteers, music, laughter, Bible stories, crafts, games, meals, and the joy of sharing the love of Jesus. This year’s VBS theme is God’s Kingdom: Knights, Giants, and the True King, where children will discover that God’s Kingdom is made up of people who trust and follow Jesus, and that His Kingdom is marked by faithfulness, love, sacrifice, and the victory of our True King, Jesus.
Each day, children will walk through a part of God’s big story. On Day 1, they will learn that God looks at the heart through the story of David being chosen as king. On Day 2, they will hear how the battle belongs to the Lord through David and Goliath. On Day 3, they will discover that Jesus died for us and that His sacrifice on the cross shows the greatest love of all. On Day 4, they will celebrate that Jesus is alive, the King who reigns forever.
Vacation Bible School is more than just a fun week for kids; it is one of the most important opportunities we have to welcome families into our church, serve our community, encourage our volunteers, and plant seeds of faith that can grow for years to come.
For many families, VBS may be their first connection to our church. For others, it may be a much-needed reminder that they are loved, supported, and invited into the life of the church. For our volunteers and staff, VBS is a beautiful picture of the Body of Christ working together—each person using their gifts to serve, teach, feed, lead, encourage, and love.
We ask our church family to cover VBS in prayer this week and next. Pray for the children who will attend, the families who will walk through our doors, the volunteers who will serve, and the staff who are preparing every detail. Pray for energy, patience, safety, joy, and open hearts. Most of all, pray that the seeds planted during VBS will bear lasting fruit—that children and families will come to know Jesus more deeply and that God will use this week for His Kingdom far beyond what we can see.
Thank you, church family, for your continued support, encouragement, generosity, and prayers. VBS is truly a church-wide ministry, and we could not do this without you. Thank you for helping us make space for children and families to experience the love of Jesus and the hope of God’s Kingdom.
With grateful hearts,
