A MESSAGE FROM OUR PASTOR…
I have exciting news to share with you this week. We have hired Jacob Hockensmith to fill our Director of Student Ministries position and serve as a pastoral intern. Jacob is a student at Wesley Biblical Seminary and recently completed a graduate degree at Mississippi State University. He has been attending worship with us for the past couple of weeks, so you may have seen him around. Jacob is a wonderful gift to our staff and church community. You can read more about him in his bio below.
The neighborhood gatherings have wrapped up, and we will be holding our church leadership dinner this evening. This weekend our 21 days of prayer and fasting also comes to an end. Over the next few weeks, I will be sharing with you what I have learned and how our church leaders will use these insights to move our church forward toward greater things to come. I believe there are 4 Bold Moves we need to make. More about these later…stay tuned!
I hope to see you Sunday as we celebrate Holy Communion together in worship! Enjoy this fantastic Labor Day weekend. I will be watching as much college football as I can! Hail State!
