A MESSAGE FROM OUR PASTOR…
“Don’t GO to church; BE the church!”
This is exactly what we did together this past Sunday. Wow! What an amazing day to fellowship, worship, and serve together as a community of faith. My heart was full, and my body was tired at the end of the day. However, I am grateful that I get to do things like this with you. We learned so much about our community and how to plan future events like this. Let’s keep it going!
I want to express my appreciation to all who attended our Serve Sunday. We had an amazing crowd despite SEC football, soccer, etc. happening all around us on Saturday. One family even drove through the night from a soccer game in Baton Rouge to be in attendance. Thanks everyone for making this event a priority for you and your family. A special thank you goes out to all of our project leaders: Lauren and Jon Beckmann, Kyle Keith, Beverly Oliver, Tommy Steadman, Tom Edwards, Jacob Hockensmith, Marcy and Tim Rushing, Cheryl Bankston, Laci Pittman, and Debbie Criddle. We can’t do wonderful church-wide events without volunteer leaders like you!
