June 5, 2025 – Nicaragua Mission Trip…
Mission Trip Dates – July 11th – July 18th
We are excited to share that a team of 16 individuals from our church will be heading to Nicaragua from July 11th – 18th to partner with three Methodist churches for a week of ministry, construction, service, and love.
Our team members include Rev. Jimmy Criddle, Tom Edwards, Bob Jackson, Ray Miller, Mike Norcom, Barbara Trott, Molly Edwards, Craig Prestwood, Brooke Prestwood, Justin Strickler, Jacob Strickler, Alan Farr, James Farr, and Robert Farr.
This mission is multifaceted, and over the next several weeks, we’ll be spotlighting a different aspect to keep the mission in front of our church family. Our first overview is Church Construction Projects that our team will help with to improve three local Methodist Churches. We will be installing water- holding tanks, building sidewalks, replacing floors and beams, and upgrading bathrooms. We will also be doing some painting, electrical work, and stucco work.
How can you be a part of this mission opportunity?
Our goal is to raise $15,000 to fund these construction projects. At this point, we have $5,000. If you feel led to give, you may place your donation in the offering plate on Sunday mornings (please mark “Nicaragua 2025”), drop it off to Dianne in the main office, or use our online giving link below.
Thank you for being a sending church and for helping us live out the love of Jesus, both near and far!
June 12, 2025 – Nicaragua Mission Trip Highlight
Mission Trip Dates – July 11th – July 18th
As part of our mission trip, we will host four special worship services designed especially for children and families— sharing the hope of Christ. In addition, we’ll be leading Vacation Bible School filled with teaching, worship, crafts, and games, all focused on showing God’s love to the next generation. We invite our church family to pray for our team as we serve, and especially for the children and families who will hear the gospel—that they would experience the love and truth of Christ.
Each week leading up to our mission trip, we’ll be sharing stories, prayer needs, and ways you can support the team—both spiritually and practically. Our current financial support opportunity is focused on our building project, which was highlighted last week. Every contribution helps us secure the materials and supplies required for the work ahead. Our goal is to raise $15,000 to fully fund this project. We are grateful to those who have already contributed – thank you! If you haven’t had a chance to give yet and would like to do so, you can place your donation in the offering plate on Sunday mornings (please mark “Nicaragua 2025”), drop it off to Dianne in the main office, or use our online giving link below.
You can also be a blessing to our team members with a simple word of encouragement. A note, a phone call, or even a quick message can go a long way in strengthening and uplifting those who are stepping out in faith to serve. Our team members include Rev. Jimmy Criddle, Tom Edwards, Bob Jackson, Ray Miller, Mike Norcom, Barbara Trott, Molly Edwards, Craig Prestwood, Brooke Prestwood, Justin Strickler, Jacob Strickler, Alan Farr, James Farr, and Robert Farr.
Let’s walk together in this mission—praying, giving, and encouraging—as we go to share the light of Christ!

Mission Trip Dates – July 11th – July 18th
One of the most powerful ways God moves through our church is by opening doors to serve beyond our own community. As we prepare for our upcoming mission trip to Nicaragua, we’ve asked church member Bob Jackson to share a bit about his ministry and the work that has taken place in and through it over the years.
Share the Blessings
——————————————–
Hi everyone!
Our church asked me to give a brief overview of the 501(c)3 charity, Share the Blessings. I started this non-profit 20 years ago as a direct result of going on my first mission trip with our church. Our projects have been focused mainly in Belarus and Nicaragua and often toward children. Share the Blessings supports our church’s ongoing mission projects in these countries as well as looks for new opportunities to leverage our relationships there to serve.
Some of our programs have included
Sponsoring students in pursuit of higher education — we are currently supporting over 20 students in Nicaragua, as well as one student from Belarus who is studying for her Ph.D. at Mississippi State.
Purchasing a home for orphans in Belarus, providing a family-style environment for up to 12 children at a time.
Donating free wheelchairs to individuals in need.
Coordinating free eye clinics in partnership with an eye school in Memphis, where free exams and glasses were provided.
Helping organize and implement Vacation Bible Schools.
I’m excited to continue this work during our upcoming trip to Nicaragua and look forward to seeing how God will use this time to deepen relationships, meet needs, and share His love in meaningful ways.
